For Ziad Minkara, General Manager of the CDS Group, the 2019 Hackathon during IFTM Top Resa was a great success.
The second edition of the Hackathon took place in 2018. It is an initiative organised by IFTM Top Resa and Speedmedia and supported by seven other partners including American Express, the Centre-Val de Loire Regional Committee of Tourism, Welcome City Lab as well as Ieris, the tourism school. The purpose of this event: to give the opportunity to a team usually from a start-up to propose, in a limited duration of 24 hours non-stop, a project in connection with the theme “Artificial intelligence at the service of travellers”.
To host events and speeches, it was necessary to have a new room capable of receiving more people in optimum conditions. With its 360° stage and 360 seats, the Arena Allianz Travel is hosting, during the 4 days of the show, conferences, round tables and finals of 4 major events: Startup Contest, Hackathon, Travel Agents Cup and Travel Agents Cup Junior. In total, 5,000 people are expected at more than 20 hours of events.
After a successful partnership at IFTM Top Resa 2017, SpeedMedia is once again the of cial partner of the Hackathon. We asked Laurent Briquet, Director General of SpeedMedia to tell us more about this year’s event.
