Value is also built face to face

Hello and welcome to the third and final day of IFTM 2026!

It begins before the doors even open. From 8:30am, the Club Affaires launches this edition’s flagship new feature: a programme of one-to-one meetings between exhibitors and corporate buyers. Each side selected its priority contacts beforehand via Everywhere, and only mutual “matches” get to meet, for five to six appointments of fifteen to twenty minutes. Two quiet hours, ahead of the crowds, to turn a conversation into business.

At 10:15am, the Arena by Uzbekistan closes the guiding theme where everything is being reshaped: artificial intelligence. With agentic tools, the machine becomes a player in its own right; the question is how to share the work between people and technology in a service industry. Valérie Boned, President of Les Entreprises du Voyage, Worldia and Travelsoft take up the debate. At 11:30am, in the same room, the question gets sharper still: how does the travel agency, the link with the thinnest margins, create value?

At Le Cercle, the Africa Convention plays its final act at 10:30am with “Africa, the new tourism eldorado”, joined by Moussa Moïse Sylla, Minister of Tourism and Hotels of Guinea, and Alpha Thiam, Minister of Culture, Crafts and Tourism of Senegal.

The afternoon belongs to travel agents. At 1:30pm, five students compete in the Travel Agents Cup Junior final, then at 3:30pm the Travel Agents Cup takes over, with the audience voting for its own favourite too. A fitting way to close three days of discussion, with what ultimately makes this profession valuable: listening, advising, and the desire to send people travelling.

Thank you all, and have a great final day!
