Lors du IFTM Top Resa 2021, la Finlande se positionne comme leader en tourisme durable. La durabilité est en effet au cœur de la vie finlandaise, et son caractère sacré est primordial pour tous les Finlandais et les visiteurs.

Pour aider l’industrie du tourisme finlandaise à adopter des pratiques durables, Visit Finland – l’office du tourisme de la Finlande – a élaboré le programme « Sustainable Travel Finland ». Le programme est conçu pour les entreprises et les destinations touristiques finlandaises afin de développer des pratiques plus durables.

Pour obtenir le label Sustainable Travel Finland, les participants doivent suivre un programme de formation spécifique et remplir tous ses critères. En d’autres termes, quand on repère une destination ou une entreprise qui a le label Sustainable Travel Finland, on peut être sûr qu’ils prennent le développement durable au sérieux. De plus, les entreprises et les destinations seront auditées régulièrement.

Pour soutenir le programme, Visit Finland a créé une page Web dédiée (visitfinland.com/sustainable-finland/) qui met l’accent sur les destinations et les entreprises ayant reçu le label Sustainable Travel Finland de Visit Finland.

Sustainable Travel Finland – a new label of confidence

At this year’s IFTM Top Resa, Finland is positioning itself as a leader in sustainable tourism. Sustainability is indeed at the core of Finnish life, and its sanctity is paramount for all Finns and visitors alike.

To help the tourism industry in Finland to adopt sustainable practices, Visit Finland – the national tourist board of Finland – has developed the “Sustainable Travel Finland” programme. The programme is designed for Finnish tourism companies and destinations to develop more sustainable practices.

In order to be granted the Sustainable Travel Finland label, Participants have to undergo a specific training programme and fulfil all its criteria. In other words, when one spots a destination or a company that has the Sustainable Travel Finland label, one can be sure they take sustainability seriously. Furthermore, the companies and destinations will be audited regularly.

To support the programme, Visit Finland has established a dedicated web page (visitfinland.com/sustainable-finland/) that puts the spotlight on destinations and companies that have been awarded the Sustainable Travel Finland label by Visit Finland.
